A COALPORT COBALT-BLUE GROUND PART DINNER SERVICE
Circa 1825, pattern no. 2/534 to some pieces
Painted with a loose bouquet, the blue border gilt with trailing grape vine extending over the edge of the cavetto, gilt-enriched gadrooned rims, comprising:
An oval platter, 16in. (40.6cm.) long
Two oval platters, 12½in. (31.7cm.) long
Two oval platters, 10 7/8in. (27.7cm.) long
Twelve soup plates, 10¼in. (26cm.) diam.
Thirty-six dinner plates, 10in. (25.4cm.) diam.
together with:
A Coalport cobalt-blue ground footed compote from a dessert service, circa 1820, reserved with loose bouquets, the blue border heavily gilt with grapevines, 5in. (12.7cm.) high, 10¼in. (26.1cm.) wide (54)
