Brilliantly enamelled in a vivid 'Canton famille rose' palette, the exterior with two panels showing a nobleman's banquet within a shaped green ground border with pink peonies and gilt scrolls, two panels with ladies in a garden pavilion playing a boardgame, the scene framed by mythological beasts and two panels shaped as jars with a court scene, the interior similary decorated with a central court scene showing noblemen and ladies at leisure in a garden pavilion, the rims richely decorated with flowers, vases, birds and butterlies on a gilt ground
