A Live Steam Model Of The Launch Phantom
Boucher Mfg. Co. (American, 19th & 20th Centuries)
This model, circa 1928, is built up from the Boucher kit of the same period. Boucher manufactured this launch in several different sizes, this being the smallest. The model is well assembled, built up over frames and painted with white topside, a red bottom and a red transom with the name in the original lettering. The deck of the model is dark mahogany and is varnished. The deck is fitted with a number of details which include cleats, tiller chock, builder's plate, chocks, etc. The cockpit is open, and the interior is painted grey. Attached to the centerline is a coal fired boiler with a coal pan, fire box, funnel, single piston, propeller shaft, brass propeller and a brass rudder.
