19th Century, signed Sadayoshi
modelled wearing a wide brimmed hat and tied robes decorated in lacquer, gilt and mother-of-pearl with floral roundels, with attached tobbaco pouch, netting and basket around the waist, standing on a rockwork base, the underside with inset signed Sadayoshi red lacquer tablet -- 5 3/8in. (39cm.) high, (some parts re-glued, basket missing piece).
