A Japanese ivory sectional okimono of a man with his child
Meiji Period
both carved wearing tied robes, the father playing a small drum, standing beside his child and a small puppy on a shaped base -- 7 7/8in. (20cm.) high; another okimono of a father and his son, both wearing tied robes, the father holding his pipe, tobbaco pouch and gardening implement, the boy stands beside him with two rabbits, on an oval base -- 7¼in. (18.4cm.) high; and an okimono of a gardener carved holding his rake, above his right shoulder stands a small mythical deity amongst cloud scrolls issuing from chrysanthemums on an oval base, the underside with a red lacquer signed tablet -- 7 5/8in. 919.4cm.) high, (minor loss and split to first piece).
