19th Century
carved standing wearing long flowing robes incised with scrolling designs and cloth hat, carrying a closed scroll and staff, signature to reverse -- 3 3/8in. (8.5cm.) high; a wood netsuke of Daruma, carved seated wearing long robes draped over the head, incised signature to the underside -- 1 5/8in. (4.1cm.) high; and a small wood and ivory carving of a boy kneeling in front of a large bowl containing an articulated minogame in tortoiseshell, incised signature to the underside -- 2in. (5.1cm.) long, (chips to ivory immortal).
