A Chinese tricolour lacquer 'spring' box and cover
Qianlong
of quatrefoil shape, carved on a diaper ground with a bowl of Precious Objects with radiating red, green and yellow lacquer rays illuminating a large Chun, spring character with a central roundel depicting Shoulao below a pine tree, all enclosed by four lotus sprays and a key-fret border, the sides with scrolling lotus panels within key-fret mounts -- 7 5/8in. (19.4cm.) wide (old damages).
