A Chinese blue and white trefoil salt
18th century
the containers in the form of petals, painted to the exterior with scrolling lotus -- 3½in. (9cms) diam, (hairline rim crack); a blue and white circular paste box and cover painted with a bird on a flowering branch -- 2 5/8in. (6.5cms) diam, Qianlong seal mark; a white glazed circular paste box and cover -- 2 5/8i. (6.5cms) diam; and a blue and white shaped box and cover painted with Guanyin amongst foaming waves, the sides with fret motifs -- 2¾in. (7cms) long, (rim nibble).
