An Imari tokuri
18th century
painted and gilt with panels of retreats in tree-strewn river landscapes, peonies and bamboo issuing from rockwork -- 7¼in. (18.5cms) high, (top of neck restored); a Japanese blue and white dish with shaped chocolate rim, painted with gentlemen on a terrace and crossing a bridge amongst pine, prunus blossom and rockwork -- 9 7/8in. (25cms) diam, (rim nibble); and a Cantonese plate decorated with a gentleman, lady and two attendants on a pavilion terrace, within a blue enamel border reserved with sepia landscape cartouches -- 9¾in. (24.7cms) diam, (small hairline rim crack).
