two etchings, 1908 and 1914-20, both on wove paper, a trial proof from the 17th state (before the final state of 30 with the engraved signature) and the first (only) state respectively, with wide margins, (G.&P. E234) with foxing, pale staining and surface soiling, remains of old tape and staining on the reverse; (G.&P. E291) with minor surface soiling, a crease at the upper right corner (extending just through the plate corner), soft handling creases, pale time staining at the upper margin edge, otherwise in good condition
