A Meissen Kakiemon small bowl
Circa 1735, blue crossed swords mark and Dreher's ··
Of flared form with very slightly everted rim, painted in iron-red, blue, black and turquoise and enriched in gilding with an Oriental seated holding a gilt fan and an Oriental lady standing nearby, a vase with flowers behind her, the reverse with two small turquoise birds in flight, the base of the interior with a stylised flowerhead below a moulded border with two dragons divided by precious objects below a brown line rim (shallow chip to footrim, slight wear to enamels, minute wear to gilding)
