A Meissen watch-stand group
Circa 1750, blue crossed swords mark at back
Modelled as the bearded and winged figure of Time draped in a long flowing beige cloak with black and silvered flower-sprays, holding a rococo scroll-moulded watch-holder in the crook of his right arm, his left leg raised on rockwork applied with coloured trailing flowers and a flowering pink rose-bush, Cupid seated at his side scantily draped in a pink cloth holding a shell-moulded bowl and with gilt wings (crack through right-side of waist and upper thigh extending to his back, another to lower part of cloak by right knee towards rockwork and another to rockwork at back, some minor chipping to flowers and foliage)
