A Meissen model of a bear
Circa 1740, blue crossed swords mark to edge of base
Finely modelled seated on its haunches with its front legs raised and its head turned to the right, its coat with white fur on the neck, underside and about its eyes, its head, back and legs with brown markings, on a shaped oval mound base applied with coloured flowers and foliage (minute chip to a leaf, minute wear to enamels)
