The rectangular eared back, outscrolled arms and squab cushion covered in ivory foliate damask, with bullion seat rail fringe, on square legs joined by stretchers, the front legs previously with castors and reduced, the front rail with later supporting facing, the back stretcher replaced

Possibly Richard Warburton-Lytton (1745-1810), Knebworth House, Hertfordshire and by descent at Knebworth.
