Each with a verde antico veneered marble top above a plain frieze on reeded entasised column legs with tapering feet, one inscribed in pencil 'flick'

Possibly supplied to the Beresford family for Gillingham Hall, Norfolk and by descent at Gillingham Hall through the Beresford and Kenyon families to the present owner.

Lot Essay

The pair of marble-topped pier-tables, with robust Grecian reeded-columnar frames, are likely to have been supplied en suite with the fashionable rosewood drawing-room furnishings supplied for the Beresford family at Gillingham Hall, Norfolk in the early 19th Century.
