Lot Essay

Diana is one of the twelve gods and goddesses of Olympus. The familiar virgin huntress of the Greeks, the stern and athletic personification of chastity, is only one aspect of a many-sided deity. When portrayed as a huntress she is tall and slim, wears a short tunic and has her hair tied back. Her attribute, as a moon goddess, is the crescent moon worn over her brow.
