Lot Essay

A pair of floor standing lamps of the same design, stamped F & S, were sold in these rooms, 8th December 1999, lot 33, £11,000.
Falk, Stadelmann & Co. were listed in the 1902 London Post Office Directory at Farringdon Road. They are also recorded as proprietors of the trade name 'Veritas'. They later took over the firm of William Palmer & Co.
