FIRST EDITION. Aleaume was a friend and pupil of Vieta and a correspondent of Peiresc. He lived for some time in Holland, where he taught Maurice of Nassau, and returned to France as "premier ingénieur ordinaire du roi." Vagnetti EIIIb36.
