Tasting note: With Fonseca, the Wine Spectator's joint no 1 '100-point' wine and certainly demonstrating its qualities. Still opaque and intense; nose more sublimated than Fonseca, but crisp, lovely fruit; sweeter though, with all the component parts for a splendid future. Last tasted December 1998. M.B. Vintage Wine.
