Please note that the figure of the standing boy, his back to the viewer and holding the dog's leash, is closely similar in pose to that in a Nativity of circa 1630 by Antonio Travi, il Sestri (1608-1665), in the Galleria di Palazzo Bianco, Genoa (inv. no. 361), and an attribution to Travi should also be considered for the present work.
