A Napoleon III group of two beggars
Probably Dieppe, Circa 1865
Each with ripped clothes and a bag containing a chicken, one hand resting on a walking stick, standing on a rectangular ebonised wooden base with rope twist border, on four winged ball feet
The larger ivory figure: 10¾ in. (27.5 cm.) high;
The other: 9¾ in. (24.5 cm.) high
