A French silver-overlaid frosted-glass dressing table service

Comprising a pear-shaped ewer and circular basin, a powder bowl and cover, two pear-shaped bottles with baluster stoppers, a bowl, a beaker, four cylindrical jars and covers, two boxes and covers and a hair brush, the frosted-glass bodies each overlaid with mounts engraved with ribbon-tied floral garlands, scrolls, flowers and foliage, the hair brush marked on side, the majority unmarked, all in a fitted case
The bowl: 15in. (38cm.) diameter; The ewer 12in. (30.7cm.) high
