His worldwide reputation as a master of high quality furniture was further established by his participation at the Paris 1900 Exposition Universelle, where 'L'exposition de la maison Linke' was viewed as 'le gros événement de l'histoire du meuble d'art en l'an de grâce 1900'. This fame allowed him to open a new luxurious shop on the prestigious Place Vendôme in Paris and exhibit in many international shows, such as in St Louis in 1904 or Liège in 1905. After merely producing copies of the most renowned pieces of French Royal furniture, Linke decided to create his own style, combining the celebrated Louis XV rocaille lines with the new and highly fashionable curves launched at Samuel Bing's new shop named 'L'Art Nouveau'. Linke's chief designer for these exuberant and sumptuous 'rococo-art nouveau' mounts was Léon Messagé.
