Mark of E. Hugo, Paris, presentation date 1894, also stamped Cardeilhac Paris; after a model by Pierre-Jules Mêne
realistically modelled a mare and a stallion on a naturalistic base, applied with a sign post labelled To Inverness and To Balmacaan, also with a mile marker rock, the base applied with a medallion with a leaf, saddle, jockey cap and crop motif surround, engraved Inverness Races 1894 Northern Counties Cup Presented By Bradley Martin Esq. won by Mr. Cooks Darling Queen, mounted to an ebonised wood base - 42cm. (6½in.) long, 138oz.
