Maker's mark erased, Sheffield, 1902
with an ebonised handle, the silver blade engraved Presented to His Exellency the Ambassador of the French Republic MONSIEUR PAUL CAMBON on the occasion of The Cutting of the First Sod for the constuctional work of the Franco-British Exhibition 1908 at Shepherds Bush London on Thursday January 3rd 1907 by The Executive Committee and the First Contractor of Works Mr. George Wimpey - 89cm. (35in.) long.
