A Worcester fluted globular teapot and cover
Circa 1758
Painted and gilt in the Kakiemon palette with a version of the 'Flaming Tortoise' pattern, each side with a vignette of the mythical beast above crabs between shrubs, below a border of gilt flowers and iron-red foliage (finial lacking, the cover extensively damaged and repaired, small chip and crack to tip of spout, some rubbing)
