A Sèvres pink-ground cabaret
Circa 1850, green printed factory marks enclosing date letters for 1848-50, some which are cancelled, various incised marks
Comprising: a quatrefoil lobed tray, the centre painted with a spray of pink and white lilac and the corners painted with lilac mixed with other flowers including nasturtiums, forget-me-nots and morning glory; a Persian-style coffee-pot, a two-handled sugar-bowl and cover, a cream-jug, two cups and two saucers, all painted with lilac and white lilac sprays beneath gilt rims (slight chip and crack to cream-jug cover)

Provenance
Purchased by the great-grandfather of the present owner from the Great Exhibition of 1851, and thence by descent.
