A Meissen group of Lovers
Circa 1880, blue crossed swords mark, incised C.71, Pressnummer 70, iron-red numeral 16.
After an original by M.V. Acier and J.C. Schoenheit, known as 'The Test of Love', with a gallant and companion before a covered urn on a square section plinth, he wears a blue coat and breeches, she wears a veil, her sepia dress and coat with a vermicular pattern, on an oval mound above an oval base moulded with gadrooning (minor chipping to extremities)
