A large English oak press cupboard, parts 17th century
profusely carved throughout, the upper section with over hanging arcaded cornice, above trailing fruiting vine frieze centred with a mermaid, above a pair of arcaded and stylized foliate panels flanked by spiral uprights and outer foliate carved and fluted posts, the lower section with an arrangment of doors and drawers around a central sloping hinged lidded compartment initialled 'M' and dated 1669, the panels and posts incorporated into the upper section are 17th century -- 89in. (227cm.) high, 72in. (184cm.) wide, 26in. (66cm.) deep
