A Yorkshire oak panel back armchair, late 17th century
with a boldly carved scrolling cresting and ear pieces, with two stylized foliate carved panels within an inlaid chequered border, the renewed downswept arms and turned supports above a later seat, on block and turned legs joined by stretchers -- 43in. (110cm.) high, 24in. (62cm.) wide, 22in. (56cm.) deep
