A Lake District oak and elm rocking armchair, early 18th century
with a twin panel back and shaped toprail initialled and dated 'HIK 1722', with downswept arms on turned supports, solid seat and block and baluster legs joined by a front stretcher and on chamferred rockers, rear seat plank renewed -- 34½in. (88cm.) high, 23in. (59cm.) wide, the seat 19in. (48cm.) deep
