An English oak boarded chest, 16th century
with a moulded and gouged twin plank lid, above a metal bound front with later carved foliate geometrical roundels, the sides extending to feet and with carrying batons, with a variety of locks -- 26½in. (67cm.) high, 57in. (145cm.) wide, 23in. (59cm.) deep
