A Flemish walnut highback open armchair, late 17th/early 18th century
upholstered in later floral needlework, the back centred with a design depicting a man and a lady seated and drinking at a table, the downswept arms with foliate scroll carved terminals and spiral supports, on block and turned legs joined by a pierced frontrail centred with a cartouche flanked by cherubs, the side and central stretcher spirally turned -- 44in. (113cm.) high, 25in. (65cm.) wide, the seat 20in. (50cm.) deep
