"Ramonet refers to the marvelous Chassagne-Montrachet Clos de la Boudriotte as the "Romanee-Conti of the Cote de Beaune." Although it is not quite in that hallowed class, it is a concentrated, rich, opulently-textured wine with abundant quantities of toasty new oak and truffle/berry-scented fruit, sweet, rich, medium to full-bodied flavors, excellent, possibly outstanding concentration, and a long, ripe, supple finish. It should drink well for a decade.

Domaine Ramonet does not receive as much credit as they deserve for their red wines, which are richly fruity, medium-bodied wines with considerable suppleness and character. The 1993s were all successful, exhibiting sweet fruit, without excessive acidity and tannin - problems for some 1993s." Wine Advocate, Issue 100, Aug 1995
