The most noticeable facet was its depth of colour, not the usual unconvincing mature Pinot; more importantly, its extraordinary volume of scents, exuding power, unravelling relentlessly; rich, great length and the great burgundy hallmark, the 'peacock's tail' opening up in the mouth.
