A pair of deep flounces, of fine mixed Brussels bobbin and needlepoint appliqué lace, alternating between a small floral group above a scroll and flowers radiating from a flower-filled vignette, the upper border with swags, the lower border with flowerheads and stylised leaves--160 x 15in. (408 x 38cm.) and 176 x 15in. (448 x 38cm.), third quarter 19th century; and a deep flounce of Brussels needlepoint appliqué lace, with shaped ends and gently scalloped border, the field scattered with spots, the lower edge worked with intertwining bands and sprays of flowers--138 x 17in.
