Antonio Greppi, active between the years 1840 and 1860 was mostly known for his portraits, landscapes and seascapes as well as for his lithographic and caricatural work. In 1860 and 1861 he exhibited in the Royal Academy, London and the British Institute. Among his most famous works are his Venetian scenes and his lithographic portraits of Italian comedians.
