...Decanted it around 12:30pm for a lunch I was hosting in the boardroom. On decanting, I noted a fairly deep colour, more ruby than red; its aroma was subdued but on the palate massive and dry. Served at 1:20pm, it was really huge and unyielding, tough but with a very fragrant aftertaste. I kept some back: the bouquet after three hours had opened up richly but the wine was still unyeilding on the palate. Frankly, disppointing as a drink and still far too immature. I shall hold on to my last magnum as long as possible. Last tasted March 1991 **(***) In 15 to 50 years? Wait and see. MB, Vintage Wine
