Lot 53 levels: one 2.5cm, one 3cm and one 3.5cm. Lot 54 levels: two 2cm, two 2.5cm and one 3cm. Lot 55 levels: eight 1.5cm or better, three 2cm and one 2.5cm. In original carton.
Lot 56 levels: seven 2cm or better, one 2.5cm, three 3cm and one 3.5cm. In original wooden case. Lot 57 levels: ten 2cm or better, one 2.5cm and one 3.5cm. Lot 58 levels: eleven 2cm or better and one 3cm.
Lot 57-58 in previously banded and original wooden case clipped upon inspection by NYWines and Christie's staff.
...In 1992 at a Bacchus Society dinner in Boston held in my honour: a wonderful wine with "extra dimensions', fruit, flesh, length, and tannin. Most recently at Manfred Wagner's vertical: still with good colour; gloriously fragrant, sustained Pinot bouquet, sweet, superb balance. Last tasted in Zurich, April 1998***** Plenty of life left.
