"fairly deep, slightly drab, with open (weak) rim, showing its age, scent of something like beetroot and living dangerously; medium sweet, medium (body), mushroomy, drying out and tannic". But it managed to hold its own with gougères and salade persillée. Last tasted Dec 2000 MB, Vintage Wine
