I rather enjoyed (five) bottles spanning the 1980s, though "meagre", "creaking", "vanilla and varnish" crop up. And I must repeat a jolly occasion in 1984 when Eric de Rothschild served it with oysters and sausages, apparently customary at Sunday luncheons at Lafite. MB, Vintage Wine
