Lot 854 level: 6.5cm; very bin soiled and torn label; vintage just legible. Wax capsule missing on top. Lot 855 level: 5.5cm; Domaine embossed wax capsule. Both lots part of wax capsules removed to reveal branded cork
Medium-pale texture with orange rim and ruddy glow; low-keyed at fuirst butbut, after 30 minutes rich, biscuity, meaty, an hour later fully evolved, a perfect old Pinot, fading after two hours. Distinctly sweet, ripe, flavour, perfect maturity, fairly good length and attractive finish. March 1997 **** MB Vintage Wine
