Northeastern India, Pala Period, 11th Century
Finely cast seated in 'Royal Ease' on a double-lotus base with large beads at lower rim, his right hand raised in abhaya mudra and flanked by two lotus stalks, his face with a benign expression and crisply delineated features, the urna and eyes inlaid in silver
