A Four-Case Lacquer Inro**
Edo period (19th century), with signature Hasegawa Shigeyoshi saku and with red jar seal
The inro decorated with an autumn scene of farmhouses with crows above fruiting persimmon trees in gold, black and red hiramaki-e and takamaki-e, togidashi and kirigane, the reverse with silver takamaki-e herons in a stream near a water wheel, the interiors lacquered nashiji; fitted with a coral bead ojime and a wood hako-style netsuke with a central roundel with a leafy branch carved in low relief, the seeds lacquered silver
