Choson period (19th century)
Of high-shouldered ovoid form with upright neck, painted in light and dark lines and washes of underglaze-blue with two four-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl amidst billowing clouds, the jar also decorated with a cloud collar below the neck, a band of stylized foliage around the neck and a narrower band of linked clouds above the foot, all executed in underglaze-blue, and applied overall save the foot rim with a transparent glaze of blue cast
