A RARE GEYAO FOLIATE DISH
Yuan/Ming dynasty, 13th-15th century
The flared sides applied on the interior walls with narrow fillets of slip rising to each notch in the hexagonally-lobed rim, covered inside and out with a creamy pale grey glaze suffused with a dense dark grey crackle interspersed with a light brown crackle, the exposed brick-red body on the foot with traces of a dark purplish-brown dressing, the rim fitted with a narrow copper band
