A French brass and champlevé enamel striking mantel clock, circa 1890
The case with bud finials and outset fluted front columns, enamel panels to front and sides, on toupie feet, with gilt Arabic chapter ring with retail signature EDWARD & SONS/GLASGOW, enamel centre mount and blued steel hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on gong, stamped on the back plate for JAPY FRÈRES -- 15¼in. (38.5cm.) high
