with a pair of bevelled glazed doors opening to a shelved interior, above two drawers over a bowed fall-front decorated with mythic beasts and cornucopiae, opening to reveal two drawers and a writing surface, above a long drawer, over a backplate and tapering legs joined by an undertier, the lockplate inscribed ALPH.
