A CONTINENTAL HAREWOOD ROSEWOOD CROSSBANDED MARQUETRY GILT METAL MOUNTED MARBLE TOP COMMODE, POSSIBLY SCANDINAVIAN
Late 19th century, in the Louis XV/XVI Swedish Transitional style in the manner of Haupt
With moulded marble top of broken outline containing a frieze drawer and two long drawers below inlaid a traverse with ribbon tied floral garlands and bowls of fruit, between canted angles on cabriole legs with trailing gilt metal ornament to sabots
34¾in. (88cm.) high, 44in. (112cm.) high, 19in. (48.5cm.) deep
