Diagonally banded overall, the shaped rectangular top with three panels veneered a quatre faces, with hinged slope flanked on each side by a hinged well, aboev a slide with a leather-lined writing surface on one side and a mirror on the reverse, above a small drawer, the whole section lifting off and on small cabriole legs, concealing a removable brown leather-lined writing surface, above a conformingly veneered frieze, one side with a drawer on cabriole legs with pierced ormolu sabots, stamped 'JME/C.C.SAUNIER'
